Yep, the image above pretty much sums me up. I'm a photographer mom of two boys that rarely gets to wear make up. Lovely huh? But I love it all!
I "opened shop" in 2009 shortly after my first son was born. At first I enjoyed capturing my new family, but soon realized I wanted to be able to share my talent with other families.
So why did I chose to specialize in childbirth? A birth is the most rewarding time in a persons life, but there is so much going on, that many of moments are forgotten or missed. I have shot several births and know how special it can be, but I didn't really realize how incredibly special it is to parents until I had my own birth photographed with our second son in 2010. Of course I remember my child being born, but I was in pain, trying to focus, and pushing out an 8lb 3oz human being!! In having my birth photographed, I was able to see my husbands face as our child was coming into the world and it was AMAZING! It was then I decided to specialize in childbirth photography. I wanted to give my clients the opportunity to see their birth the way I saw mine.
